Joshua Tree National Park

I spent a week here. I parked in two campsites, and spent most of another day driving through the park and taking in some of the other sites. There are a lot of good trails to hike. Of course there are the famous Joshua trees throughout. I found the rock formations to be really fantastic.

The overall "feel" of the place is dry and desolate, but when you get up close you see that there is quite a lot of vegetation. I included a few pictures that might illustrate the greenery. I'll come back some time during the flowering season.
