Utah and Arizona - April 2015

My first stop in Utah was a town called Hurricane. The lake pictures are Quail Lake in Quail Creek State Park. All my hiking was done in The Red Cliffs Recreation Area.

On my way to my next camp site, I drove through Zion National Park.

I also drove along the rim of Bryce Canyon National Park.

I stayed in an RV park in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This is a large area with a number of places to drive to for hiking and camping. Here are some pictures taken around the campsite. I wasn't expecting SNOW!

The first place I rode my scooter to was Kodachrome Basin State Park. For those of you who remember "film", yes, this is named for the film.

In the next couple of days, I took the scooter down some dirt roads toward the cliffs of Bryce Canyon. I did some hiking around some very pretty tent campsite areas.

My next stop was Seligman Arizona. This is a small town that features the classic Route 66 feel.

I rode my scooter 25 miles down Route 66 to the Grand Canyon Caverns. During the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, the U.S. government deployed enough water and food rations to the caverns to support 2,000 people for up to two weeks.
